Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. Natural or straight hair can be beautiful. For this site natural is the favored choice. Of course, it's not the only choice. But natural hair best compliments natural beauty--personal preference.

'Fro Style

I'm a "young" senior, a child of the universe, happily living life in the Midwest (USA). Growing up I wore my hair in its natural state. As I reached my teen years I started wearing the "straightened" look. Hot combs for days! In college I discovered the most comfortable style for me, my "Angela Davis 'fro." It was a beautiful thing, and so easy to maintain. Since then I've tried the relaxed style, both short and longer. Never really cared for the texture of relaxed hair, just too stiff and "fried." So I eventually reverted to my old-school straightened style. But lately I've been wearing my hair mostly in its natural state, a better healthy-hair option. JD
